Anne Frank Foundation

Bringing Anne Frank’s life story to people's attention all over the world

The Anne Frank House is an independent organization entrusted with the care of the Secret Annex, the place where Anne Frank went into hiding and wrote her diary during World War II. The hiding place, now the Anne Frank House museum, reaches near full capacity with one million visitors annually. Using her diary and the hiding place as a starting point, how can we present Anne Frank's story in a unique way to reach people worldwide?

On the 50th anniversary of the Anne Frank House as a museum a special ceremony was held in the Westerkerk cathedral in Amsterdam. A highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the new Website and the Online Secret Annexe, which allows people all over the world to make a virtual visit to the hiding place of Anne Frank and those who sheltered there with her. A special feature of this online visit to the Anne Frank House is that the house is laid out as it was Anne’s time in hiding.

LBi Lost Boys developed the concept, the strategy and the technical structure of the Secret Annexe Online, together with the Anne Frank House.

The Website is based on EPiServer expose rich media content giving insights of Anne Frank’s life, together with relevant information about the museum and the foundation’s work.
